Electronics Recycling Fundraiser

From 12:00PM to 6:00PM

In cooperation with Michigan electronics recycler Comprenew, Big Rapids High School is hosting a free electronics drop-off fundraiser at the school. Acceptable items include: office & household electronics, computer components & accessories, almost anything with a cord or battery will be accepted. Comprenew will wipe or destroy all computer hard drives. All proceeds go to benefit Big Rapids High School National Honor Society. Please look for the Comprenew e-Drop Trailer in the school parking lot. The trailer will be open the following hours from Tuesday - Thursday: Monday, March 10: 12 pm - 6 pm Tuesday, March 11 & Wednesday 12: 8 am - 6 pm Thursday March 13: 8 am - 3 pm

BRHS National Honor Society Electronic Recycling

Y-102 did a great job of advertising our electronic recycle program last October. We collected over 25,000 pounds of old electronics that were kept out of landfills. We are holding a 2nd bigger and better recycle drive starting Monday, March 10-Thursday, March 23. Once we communicate, I can send a couple informational flyers to you. I'd be ok with coming over the week before the event and doing a morning interview. Probably bring an NHS member or two as well. Let me know. Again, thanks.

Shamrocks for Muscular Dystrophy

Instant Cash Big Rapids is selling Shamrocks for Muscular Dystrophy through March 17th. The green shamrocks are $1 and the gold shamrocks are $5. Stop by Instant Cash located at 605 3rd Ave/M20 (Behind Sunoco/Arby) on the east side of Big Rapids to purchase your shamrocks and help reach a goal of $800, which will send 1 local child to MD Camp this summer. MDA provides families with neuromuscular diseases with flu shots, physical, occupational, & respiratory services in addition to sending kids to summer camp at no cost to the families.
