Introduction to Oral History

From 10:00AM to 11:30AM

10/11/14 – 10:00-11:30am – Location: Artworks This workshop, led by Prof. Thomas Henthorn (University of Michigan – Flint) will introduce you to oral history methods. The workshop is designed for beginners as well as those who would like a refresher course, and no experience is necessary. Topics include: What is oral history; designing an oral history project; conducting background research; preparing interview topics and questions; interview techniques; legal and ethical issues in oral history.

His new book "Never Turn Your Back on an Angus Cow: My Life as a Country Vet.", shares some of the heartwarming and often hilarious stories of his 40 years as a veterinary in Weidman, Michigan.
