Swiss Steak Dinner

From 4:30PM to 6:30PM

New Hope United Methodist Church is hosting its popular Swiss Steak Dinner this Friday September 4, from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. Your meal includes our original recipe swiss steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, peaches, cottage cheese, homemade desserts, frozen yogurt, plus your beverage. $10 for adults, 6-12 years $5 5 and under eat free. All in air conditioned comfort. Trays will be available to carry your dinner, drink, and dessert. Come join us for dinner and meet and greet your friends and neighbors. The money collected is used to reduce the church's building debt. New Hope is located at 7296 Nine Mile Road, in Mecosta. We appreciate your support.

Angel Ride 2015

The Angels of Action is holding their 4th Annual Angel Ride on Saturday, September 26th. The ride starts at 8:30am at Northend Riverside Park. $195.00 feeds one child for AN ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR. The ride will be on the all-paved White Pine Trail and will have flexible start time. There will be prizes and food, and the event will be family friendly with all ages welcome! FRIENDS OF THE BR COMMUNITY LIBRARY BOOK SALE

Friends of the Big Rapids Community Library will hold their Annual Book Sale under the tent behind the Library, 426 S. Michigan Avenue, on Friday, September 4th from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. and Saturday, September 5th from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. They will also be under the shelter in Hemlock Park during the Labor Day Arts Festival from 10 am - 4:00 pm on Monday, September 7th. Proceeds benefit Library Programs.
