CHIPPEWA LAKE WINTER FEST 2016

From 7:00AM to 3:00PM

Come out and join us for some fun during the Chippewa Lake Winter Fest on February 27th, 2016. Participate in the fishing tournament, taste meaty and flavor-raving chili, listen to live music, watch the brave plungers, and visit with friends. Fishing Tournament: 7 am - 10 am. Chili Cook Off: 11 am - 2 pm. Live Band: 1 pm - 3 pm. 50/50 Drawings: 10 am-3pm Games: 1 pm - 3 pm. Polar Plunge: 12:30 pm Come see the biggest jump of the year and help support the Special Olympics and the Chippewa Lake Fireworks. If you would like to enter in the chili cook-off, want to volunteer, or have any questions regarding the event, please contact Travis Palmer at 231-349-0869

Big Rapids Little League-annual coed tourney

From 9:00AM to 12:00PM

Big Rapids Little League Third Annual Snowball Tournament Registrations opened on the 1st and will remain open until March 6th. You can sign up online at www.bigrapidslittleleague.com Snowball tourney consists of an annual coed softball played in the snow with a larger than usual softball that is hard to hit far. Traditionally it is called Chicago style soft ball. Any questions on the tournament, registration, volunteering, ect. You can like us on Facebook and send us a message. We will be doing the coat check for the Taste of Mecosta event on February 23d at 5:30. The kids will be checking coats and taking donations. We are not asking for help umpiring this year. Dog Obedience Class

Hosted by the Eagles Lodge Only $75 for this 6 week class Puppy classes (6:00) and adult classes (7:30) held. Proceeds will be given to the Riley MacKenzie fund. Call Debbie with any questions: 231-796-2455

Polar Plunge

Come help raise money for the Michigan Special Olympics by participating in the polar plunge. Registration is at the easy bay general store at 19961 East Chippewa Lake Drive, Chippewa Lake, MI. 11AM Participation is at 12:30 PM at the Chippewa lake public access. Awards will be given at the Chippewa township community building after the plunge.

Annual Mecosta County Hair Harvest

Wanted: Donated Ponytails... 8" or longer Special deals on cuts, styles or products?? ask the hairstylist The hair that is collected is used to make wigs for children with any affliction that causes hair loss. Sponsored by Ferris State University Circle K a Kiwanis organization and your salon.
